Unified Sports

Otondo participates in unified sports for approximately eighteen weeks during an academic year. These weeks include piecing our team together and pairing up our athletes with partners. Special Olympics Unified Sports is recognized by our school as a very respected and necessary program. This program shown us a new, fun way to introduce and build inclusion. Otondo has been a part of Special Olympics for eight years, and holds a National Banner Recognition as a Unified Champion School. This prestigious and challenging award to earn supports that Otondo has an inclusive school climate, and exudes a sense of collaboration, engagement ,and respect for all members of the student body and staff.
