Our School

A low, modern building with a green roof and a well-maintained lawn.

Mary A Otondo is a Preschool – 5th grade elementary school where 70 teachers and staff members work hard each day to educate over 750 eager-to-learn students. It’s a fun place to work and learn while striving for excellence in all we do. We believe that we can be a model school in our community, leading the way in developing a healthy moral community while incorporating life skills that instill respect and responsibility. Through our daily activities, we will teach our children to have integrity and good character.

Our motto is, “One for all and all for one.” As a team working together, we can achieve great things. We invite you to join us and help strengthen our community.

Our mission at Otondo Elementary School is to develop independent learners in a safe and supportive environment where they can achieve growth through creative, inclusive experiences that will empower and prepare them for lifelong success.

Our vision at Otondo Elementary School is to nurture a safe, positive learning community where students develop academic confidence and independence to their individual potential while building upon a foundation of kindness, honesty, and responsibility.

Otondo Elementary School will use rigor and targeted instruction as a foundation to personal the learning experience of our students.

All staff and students will utilize the AVID multi-step note taking process (K–2 STAR notes, 3–5 focused note taking) routinely.

All students will use their binder and planner to keep track of their course work and progress.
